I've noticed this this outgoing spike using DUMeter recently, and can't seem to figure it out.
Windows XP, SP2, all patches.
I've scanned my pc for Virus', used SpyBot and Adaware to look for pests.
And I ran TrojanHunter to see if there we're any nasty things on my pc.
Nothing was found.
So, it seems that my pc is consistently pinging my router (Netgear FR114P, v1.5 firmware).
I install your program and it shows that my pc: 192.168.0.2:138, is pinging 192.168.0.255:138 over and over again. It sends a ping at different time intervals.
I can't seem to find a reason for this.
Could a browser do this?
Why would it?
Would anyone know why this might be happening?
Thanks for helping to prevent my nervous breakdown.

In fact it doesn't matter at all. Port 138 is used by Windows to communicate with Windows servers on the same network. _________________ Harry Liu
